Only title today... Sorry.

This is my thinking practice. Title first, contents later.
(Oh, please let me use this square of the bulltin board!)
If I can say my opinion logically about this, it might be interesting♪
I have some ideas (eggs of ideas) about this, but I can't write well now.

Doesn't this theme inspire your writing mind? Especially now when Japan soccer team came back?

If you have any ideas, please write.
I wrote [Opinions], not [Opinion] as the title of this message.
How about practicing with me?

Responders' opinions will come earliear than starter's opinion?

Izuko

Hi Izuko-san. This is Moring.
Already one week have passed after your first message.
And only semi-final and final remain.

I think the strongness of Japan national football team have no relation with the traditional style of English education in Japan.
Almost members of the team might not study English hard at school except Hidetoshi Nakata. I know Mr. Nakata read books and emails very fast and can study foreign languages fast too.

Anyway please write your opinion at here!

Happy reading and writing!

Hi, Moring-san. I am so sorry I am late.
Thank you for THE FIRST OPINION about this theme.
I came with the second one.

> I think the strongness of Japan national football team have no relation with the traditional style of English education in Japan.

Oh, I didn't mean the English ability of the members of Japan Soccor Team.
I am not going to talk about English ability of someone.

I would like to say ...
Japan's traditional style of English education forces people to be shy, or quiet
not only soccor playes but also ordinary people.

In the traditional education style -
Teachers require students to make very correct English sentences.
Teachers teach students every function of each word or each form of every word.
Teachers make students to be always veee-ry careful,
... otherwise they don't give students good remarks or grades.

Ordinary people who have been coming through Japan's English education might be able to live
in Japan's society.
But, when it comes to soccor matches, especially international ones,
Japanese players cannot be positive or agressive enough to get goals!

It must be because of Japan's traditional style of English education〜〜〜!

I don't know if it is true or untrue. (Excuse me for my irresponsibility).
I'm sorry that my opinion lacks proofs!

But I have wanted to try to say!
... Japanese traditional style of English education didn't make me shy.
Oh, I had better be ... ?

Thank you for reading, Moring-san and some readers, if any.

Izuko

Hi, Izuko-san. This is Pickring.
Nice to meet you.

Although I don't think there are relations between football skills of Japanese players and English education in Japan, some people would agree with your opinion about the characteristics of Japanese players.

For example, Arsene Wenger, the coach of Arsenal in England Premiership, said in his book "L'esprit conquerant (勝者のエスプリ)" that while Japanese players are good at collective plays or sacrificing themselves for the team, they have difficulty in taking initiatives.

However, I don't think this is the reason of Japanese national squad's defeat in FIFA World Cup 2006. I think coach Zico's tactics was wrong and he had the responsibility of the defeat. In my opinion, he thought Brazilian squad was the best in the world and he forced Japanese players to be like Brazilian without considering Japanese player's characteristics and their strengths and limitations.

I expect that next coach Ivica Osim will make very good team because he knows that the strength of Japanese players is agility and make the best of it in his team JEF United Chiba.

Any comments are welcome.

Regards,

Pickring.

Hi, Pickring-san (←Your name has nice spelling〜)
Welcome to Izuko's illogical? world of English !
Thank you for your comments very much.

Wow, a famous person said so ...
Although I didn't have any proofs to my opinion, but an experts said about the same.
It is a kind of proof of my opinion? I hope so♪

Even if my opinion may not be very true one, it can be ONE opinion.
I'm very glad to know that.
Thank you for telling me about the book, Pickling-san.
