DON'T JUDGE A MAN UNTIL YOU'VE WALKED
   TWO MOONS IN HIS MOCCASINS.

It means that you shouldn't judge someone
until you've walked in their moccasins.
Until you've been in their shoes.
In their place.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
A thirteen years old girl, Sal who was eager to see and take back
her missing mother for their home.
She had decided to go with her grandparents from Ohio to Idaho
where her mother would be there.
In the car, she had told them the story of her friend Phoebe,
her disappearing mother and the lunatic.

Even as she was telling them, she realized there was her own story
that behind the Phoebe's story.
Then one day she also realized that their whole trip out to Idaho
was a gift from her Gram and Gramps to her.
They were giving her a chance to walk in her mother’s moccasins,
to think about and understand her mother.

Well, what I say… this book is really awesome.
Before reading the book, I’ve read about Editorial Reviews.
So I knew the content of the book was “one funny and one bittersweet tales.”
Of course I’ve read the reasons why she and her grandparents drove
from Ohio to Idaho.

Even though, I was in the almost through the book
where I met about truth of her mother's story,
I was in shock and tears kept filling my eyes.
While reading the book, I was hooked on the story.
So I totally forgot it about she said in the first place.

I was really surprised and I wanted to read again several pages from the beginning.
Next thing I knew that I read through the whole story.
I cried on the same places, I felt warm on the same conversations or occasions.
I think I was more deeply touched by the story than first reading.

My favorite character were Gram & Gramps, and Ben.
They were really sweet.
One of the most fond story was Gram & Gramps’ marriage bed.
And another one was the blackberry’s.

I think this book had some kind of sorrows,
and that weren't quite simple.
Still, I love this book.
There were lots of my favorite another occasions in the book.

I’ll read it once again.

Hi! Hayakeiko.
(Please call me "Hamako".
Didn't I say so before? No need "san" on this board.)
