624. I made a ghost story.

------------------------------

Hello everyone.
I'm Hayakeiko.

I made a ghost story.

Have you read
"GHOSTS! Ghostly Tales from Folklore"?
It is one of the book of "ICR" series.
I read this again and again.
One day an idea popped into my head.

If you have time,
please try my ghost story.
But I'm not sure that you understand what I meant.
I'm afraid of this.
I say "I'm sorry "first.
If I disappoint you.

This is only 自己満足ということで!

Are you ready?

OK, here we go.

-----------------------------------------
THE HAUNTED RESTAURANT
by Hayakeiko

There was a small old restaurant.
It had some broken windows and spider webs.
Crows on the roof was crying.

People said this was a haunted restaurant.

A fat middle-aged man who moved in
next to the restaurant few days ago
headed for this restaurant.

" I don't like scary things.
But I feel terribly hungry.
I must go inside. "

Inside of the restaurant was dark and cold.
A man who wore apron emerged.
He was tall, thin and had a pale face
like a real ghost.
He stared at the fat-man strongly again.

The fat-man shivered.
"C, Can I eat s,something?"
He asked.
His teeth was chattering.

The thin-man's eyes got narrow.
"You moved in around here recently,I guess."
He said in low voice.
"And you want fried rat
or blood soup
or something like that,
don't you."
He stared strong at the fat-man again.

The fat-man's jaws dropped.
Fried rat! blood soup!
So this is really the haunted restaurant
as people said!
And why did he know about me?
The fat-man so upset.
"A, Are you a ghost?"
He asked.

Suddenly, the thin-man got angry.
"You kidding!"
He shouted.
"It is NOT ME who is a ghost.
It's YOU! you are the ghost!
Many ghosts are around here.
I can't stand it any more!"

The fat-man screamed,
escaped from the restaurant
and ran for the new grave
that was built few days ago
in the cemetery
next to this restaurant.

Hi, Hayakeiko-san. It's Chikuwa!

Thank you for sharing your own ghost story.
I really enjoyed it!

〉Have you read
〉"GHOSTS! Ghostly Tales from Folklore"?
〉It is one of the book of "ICR" series.

Oh, I didn't know this story.
I'll make a note on that...

〉I read this again and again.
〉One day an idea popped into my head.

Oh, you liked the story very much!
That book inspired you so much!
It is one of the good ways
for beginning wrinting English, I suppose.

I want to do that!

Sorry, I've cut your 前口上、(あ、pretext?).
It was your excuses.
You don't have to make excuses!
I think I understood your story fully.

〉THE HAUNTED RESTAURANT
〉by Hayakeiko

APPLAU〜SE!!!!!

... (reading quietly)

... (reading excitingly)

... (reading scary〜)

... (reading surprised!)

... (reminding feeling sad...)

...

... (satisfied)

..., so this middle aged man WAS a ghost,
and he didn't know that.

He even didn't know that he was dead, did he?

The restaurant owner let him know that.

And he knew it! He didn't believe that!

Was the owner really also dead? Or not?

He said he wasn't, but I suspect
he was also dead
and he was a caretaker of the cemetery!

His job was letting people who had sudden death
know that they were dead?

...

Oh, this message is full of my only reading way.
Did you understand?
If you didn't, I AM very sorry〜〜.

Thank you very much again!

I'm waiting your next story!

Happy Creating!

I like stories of this book, of course.
But I LOVE illustrations more!
They are cute and scary,
and make story more interesting.

So, I used some same words in my story.

Poor fat-man!
