I had a few times to visit Kyoto.
My parents love Kyoto and Nara.
They often went to Kyoto or Nara by their car and they asked me to go to there.
But I often said, "no thanks. Because めんどくさい" (^^;)
It took about two hours by a car and then we arrived, there are only temples or shrines.
I thought how boring.
I was a child...
I went to Kyoto at fifth grade, too. It was a school event.
Almost elementary school in the Kansai aria goes to Kyoto or Nara.
But Kyoto is for adultfood, don't you think so?

I remember this.
Last time, I came to Kyoto, I went to Yasaka-Jinjya with friends.
It was a new year's visit to a shrine.
We went to there at night.
There were so many people.
Actually, I got some coins in my food which people threw for make a wish to a god.
One of the friends is my husband now(*^^*)
It was fifteen yeas ago's story. Aha.

〉When I was climbing the slope to Kiyomizu Temple, three Chinese people passed me, singing a Chinese cheerful song in loud voices, beating rhythm on the earth with sticks.

I wonder what is it?

〉Most maples turned into red, orange and yellow beautifully.
〉“Oh, it's beautiful...” I sighed unconsciously.
〉Just only red has a variety of reds, such as burned-red, bright-red, aflame-red etc.
〉So do orange and yellow, so the gradation was very gorgeous.
〉But it didn't seem to be enough...

〉Because I arrived at that veranda as is well known for the expression “to jump off the stage at Kiyomizu.”
〉The view from that famous point was so wonderful and magnificent that I took a breath.
〉Leaning over the railing to look down, I felt like nature sucked me up.
〉The view looked as if a painter scattered colors of red, orange, yellow, brown and green in all direction, or if you let me express in a Japanese way, it was look like HARIE.
〉I wanted to gaze at the wonderful view forever.

I've seen these view and tourists on several lacal TV programs last week.

〉Mitarashi dango I ate there was delicious.
〉I admired ancients' skill to make the frame made of hundreds of big trees,
〉 which is supporting under that veranda, without one nail.
〉I could glimpse at a MAIKO-san with an elderly man and a woman carrying a makeup box.
〉I bought souvenirs.
〉The time of joy flashed by, and it was time to go home.
〉I left with my back to Kiyomizu Temple reluctantly.

〉Climbing down the steep slope again, on the way to the parking, I passed a group of foreign people.
〉I could hear a man saying the word 'geisha'.
〉I'm glad as Japanese that foreign people are interested in Japanese traditional.

Yeah, I know your feeling!
When I was a child and went to TODAIJI in Nara for a school event, the best pleasing thing to me was a lot of deer!
I had thought the form of temples or DAIBUTSU was cool a bit, but it didn’t beat deer.
As I grow up, I get to know ancient Kyoto and Nara’s dignity, I think.

I've never beent to Yasaka Shrine, but heard about the duffel coat-coins story.

I don’t know either.
Their voices were very very loud, and I was just startled!
There were many Chinese people there that day.

I’m afraid I didn’t saw a kind of people filming for TV program, but I saw a few people taking pictures with a big camera.
So I might be in those pictures of a magazine or of Internet and so on, maybe…?
